Been a Month and a Half

It has been a Month and a Half since my last entry.

My hiatus began initially because of my minor cuts on my hands. This initial hiatus led me to realise that most of my content was about obtaining Achievement X. I had tried to make those posts informative by then explaining how I obtained that achievement. I'd mention my cool friends and some of their cool blogs. And only then in passing on how they helped me achieve an achievement.

My minor hiatus led me to realise I was just obtaining achievements every day to be able to post about them. I didn't have a healthy balance between blog and playing.

So I stopped posting all together.

Since Pandaria has been released, I've loved almost every moment. I have obtained many achievements and done many quests. Pet Battles are just so great! It is like the Pokémon MMO I've always wanted. Loved the two Pandarian Emissaries outside Brewfest giving the hint that they'll compete with the other breweries for Brewfest next year.

My next post? Well when I think up something to write I'll write it.

Note: Just noticed looking at the list, I just noticed that Exëcute left the guild. That makes me sad!

The Faceroller

Today Exëcute organised a run for Azadelta, himself and I went to go into Trial of the Champion again to get our last achievement there. When the second boss appeared it wasn't Argent Confessor Paletress, instead it was Eadric the Pure! This was a good sign.

Our plan: Without inflicting any dots, lower Eadric's health really low. At that point I would have to Cleanse Hammer of Justice from either Exëcute or Azadelta so they could throw his Hammer of the Righteous back at him for a killing blow.

The first problem was that Exëcute's attacks would cause bleeds on Eadric. That meant that he could not help in damaging down the boss.

 

The next problem was that to cleanse Hammer of Justice I would have to be in holy spec so I wouldn't be any help with damage either.

 

That left Azadelta solo attacking Eadric. Since I was holy I could heal Aza no problem. Eadric's health got low real fast and Aza just stopped attacking.

 

It was now my turn.

 

All I had to do was cast cleanse on someone with the Hammer of Justice. Without decursive I would have to manually do it.

 

The first debuff appears! I quickly cleanse Exë! However it turned out to be Radiance because Exë was looking at Eadric when he cast Radiance, not Hammer of Justice!

 

Then Aza get the real debuff! However Cleanse now has a 8 second cooldown so I couldn't so anything so the first Hammer of Righteous hits Aza.

 

But everything is okay. Eadric still has low heath and we just have to wait for the next Hammer of Justice.

 

The second Hammer of Justice hits! And I cleanse the wrong person! 8 second cooldown. Grrr... McTacky... FOCUS! All I have to do is cleanse the right person when they got the right debuff. It was simple. No need to overthink this! I am not a Faceroller!

 

Exë gets hit a third time by Radiance. I almost cleanse him again, but I stay my hand.

 

Aza gets Hammer of Justice. I push down cleanse...

 

You only get a few seconds to throw the Hammer of Justice back at Eadric. I hold my breath.

 

The Hammer of Justice is returned to Eadric with a thud and he is defeated! All three of us got the achievement!

Guild Ranking Changes

As you can see everyone's points have gone down. Edit: Oops, ignore that statement.

It also seems that the Guild list only lists achievements earnt by that Toon specifically (and some Meta earnt that way), not your account-wide total.

I've Had Worse

I went to Trial of the Champion Heroic with Exëcute, Songlala and Jinjersnaps (on Rustytaps). No Eadric the Pure for The Faceroller. But we still could do the last achieve I've Had Worse against the Black Knight.

 

 

 

I've Had Worse - The plan was simple. Nuke the first Ghoul. Then in Phase 2 AoE down all the other Ghouls to prevent them exploding. This time it worked and the Ghouls were all dead in time.

 

Then we just killed Black Knight and the Achievement popped up!

The Forge of Souls

I went into The Forge of Souls with Exëcute, Delehrium (Jinjersnaps), Torturedsoul. Jinx from Boulderfist server.

First up Soul Power. Exëcute moved the boss around while the rest of us slowed down the Soul Fragments. Exëcute dragged away Bronjahm outside the room when four were up, we did damage and he teleported to centre for last phase. We DPSed down Bronjahm before the Soul Fragments got back into the room.

Secondly was Three Faced. We had DPS just go all out. Only had to interupt Phantom Blast once before Devourer of Souls died. I was ready to do the second interupt however, with Exëcute having done the first.

Some Dragon Slaying!

Ayelena and I needed Less Is More (25 Player). The problem was that we need to kill the 3 Dragons, which meant that no mount would drop off Sartharion.

However our Guildies are Awesome! Aioros, Azalpha, Exëcute, Poldra, Delehrium (Jinjersnaps). Exëcute brought along Torturedsoul. Navimie said she'd come, but before I could reply she went off and joined a PvP thing.

So we killed that instance and no mount dropped of course.

We'd move on to Malygos 25 for Achieves for the others (Speed Kill, Less than 23 people, kill people while on platform).

Then Onyxia 25 but failed to get any Achieves there (sorry I was the one to stand in the deep breath).

Portal Jockey!

Joined Exëcute in another pug. This time into ICC.

Missed Boned (10 player) and Heroic: Storming the Citadel (10 player) since I joined the run late



Failed to get Once Bitten, Twice Shy (10 player) since I wasn't bitten. :(

Portal Jockey (10 player)

Us healers took every Portal until the end without fail and the whole group got this achieve.

I have to come back for Boned (10 player), Heroic: Storming the Citadel (10 player), and Once Bitten, Twice Shy (10 player) for my mount, but Exëcute got his Reins of the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher!

Trial of the Crusader (25 Player)

Went in Ashes' Trial of the Crusader Pick up Group with fellow Guildies Exëcute, and Ayelena.

Not One, But Two Jormungars (25 player) - Killed both pretty fast with a level 85 group.

Upper Back Pain (25 player) -  Gormok summons some Snowbolds. We had to leave them alive until Icehowl died. AoE almost killed one of them, but Icehowl died first.

Three Sixty Pain Spike (25 player) - Had to leave one Mistresses of Pain alive for a couple of minutes while we waited for Lord Jaraxxus to summon a second Mistresses of Pain. Then we killed Lord Jaraxxus.

Salt and Pepper (25 player) - Simple enough to kill the Twin Val'kyr in three minutes with this group.

No Luck: Resilience Will Fix It (25 Player) since I don't think it exists, only the Resilience Will Fix It (10 player) exists. Weird.

No Luck: The Traitor King (25 player) - Ashes said we weren't going to go for this achievement. Well it's his run.

No Luck: Call of the Grand Crusade (25 player) - It was a Normal Mode Raid, so no credit towards this.

Glory of the Raider (10 player)

Today myself, Exëcute, Aioros, Azalpha and Afranaisy went into Naxxramas (10 Player) to get achievements for Glory of the Raider (10 player).

First The Arachnid Quarter. We attacked Grand Widow Faerlina and somehow failed Momma Said Knock You Out (10 player). We pushed on and got Arachnophobia (10 player) for everyone and the Spiderwing was done.

We then went to The Construct Quarter that Exëcute kept calling the Plague Quarter, making Aioros go to the wrong spot. Eventually we all got to the same spot. Make Quick Werk of Him (10 player) done after Patchwerk fied within 3 minutes.

Grobbulus and Gluth fell with no effort then it was off to Thaddius. Subtraction (10 player) was simple enough since there were only five of us. Shocking! (10 player) need more planning since everyone was melee. Exëcute and Aioros stood out of the fight. Azalpha and Afranaisy meleed standing a different sides and I healed. Thaddius died in little time.

Then the real The Plague Quarter. Noth the Plaguebringer fight. Then for Heigan the Unclean we all stood up on the platform for The Safety Dance (10 player).

Then at the end of The Plague Quarter was Loatheb. We avoid AoE and Ret Aura and got Spore Loser in little time.

  

Then onto the Military Quarter! Smashed Instructor Razuvious with Aza tanking without bothering with the mind control. Waited around for the Gothik the Harvester fight to end.  Then we tried for And They Would All Go Down Together (10 player) but the last kill just took a moment too long.

 

Then there was the last place left. Frostwyrm Lair. On Sapphiron we did the fight we got The Hundred Club (10 player) for others. Then on Kel'Thuzad we killed 18 Abominations for Just Can't Get Enough (10 player). Since we killed all the boss with less then 10 people, we also got The Dedicated Few (10 player).

Then onto the Sartharion in The Obsidian Sanctum. Afranaisy left but we were joined by Roshii, Ròckhoof, and Guild Leader Fueghan. Leaving all 3 Drakes alive, we look out Sartharion. Fueghan won the Reins of the Black Drake. Earning Twilight Assist (10 player), Twilight Duo (10 player), The Twilight Zone (10 player) and Gonna Go When the Volcano Blows (10 player) for myself. 

So in the end today I am now 15/16 for Glory of the Raider (10 player). I just need Momma Said Knock You Out (10 player) now.

Then I traveled onto Malygos 10 man with Exëcute, Aioros, Azalpha and Fueghan. They earnt

A Poke in the Eye (10 Player) for having less than 10 people, also You Don't have an Eternity (10 Player for defeating the Aspect of Magic in less than 6 Minutes.

After helping with Sougly's Dwarfageddon (10 player) group, it was onwards to join Navimie's Onyxia 25 Man. There were 16 of us for that. <McTacky takes a deep breath>.

Frostwolves: Azalpha, Execute, Faithless, Imwifher (Roshii), Imwifhim (Souglyy), Lushnek (HK), McTacky (me), Navimie, Sevros.

The Darkness Within: Dragonray, Lominari, Cynewulf, Calagendi

Others: Saintvache, Nipandtuck, & Druidelight

On the third attempt we got Onyxia Down, and 50 Whelps on Phase 2, no one hit by Deep Breath and within 5 minutes. I got more Four Achievements: Onyxia's Lair (10 player), Many Whelps! Handle It! (10 player), More Dots! (10 player), She Deep Breaths More (10 player).

Then The Darkness Within was going to Ruby Sanctum 10 man. Navimie, myself, Lushnek (HK), and Execute tagged along. Halion was dead on the first attempt.

McTacky... Graveyard Camper!?

Joined AV for some more AV rep. I am now at 18.3k/21k. The game I joined consisted of a Pre-Made team.

After defending Captain Galvangar at Iceblood Garrison with almost the full raid we slowly moved north, destroying towers, capping Snowfall Graveyard and Stonehearth Graveyards, forcing the dead to appear up North. We then reached Stormpike Graveyard and stopped. We started to kill, kill, kill without end.

It is the first time I've graveyard camped and I'm not sure what to think of it. The players we were attacking were helpless against the Premade's onslaught.

Tol Barad All-Star: Back in Tol Barad with Exëcute. I got the last 10 kills for Tol Barad All-Star I needed while we were both defending Warden's Vigil. You need to get 10 kills at a spot without dying during the ones game. You can do this over three games (one per complete spot). Won the game a short time afterwards so that was good.

Obsidian Nightwing!

After a some Recruit-a-Friend mayhem, I got [Heart of the Nightwing] in the mail and used it to learn how to transform into the flying Obsidian Nightwing! I was thrilled to be able to get this sort of mount!

Like Sandstone Drake from [Vial of the Sands], you can give a ride to another player while transformed! Totally Aces!

Then it was on to a Black Temple run with Smïles (Pahto), Exëcute, Gelina, Roshii (his alt Imwifher for one boss), and Roshii (Baha). Pugged up a warrior called Parasoul. By the end I had Ashtongue Deathsworn reputation at Exalted! I earned Sworn to the Deathsworn as a result!

Now that is all my Burning Crusade Reputations completed! 51st Exalted Faction!

In Wintergrasp I got Didn't Stand a Chance with Exëcute's help! Took a bit of time shooting people with that cannon at 85, even if they had all their armor off.

In Tol Barad I took two tanks to a tower and got myself a Tower Plower! An alliance tried to take out my tanks, but I guarded them well!

 In Strand of the Ancients, shot a lot of stuff with cannon again to get Artillery Expert.

Finally in AV. Reached 13.5k/21k Rep with Frostwolf Clan. While there I finally completed Alterac Valley All-Star.

For several days I'd gotten 3/5 of the criteria. Attack/Defend a Tower. Attack/Defend a Graveyard and kill someone on Field of Strife. Usually Field of Strife + Attack Graveyard + Attack Tower combo, but not always. The Defends were the hard two for me to pin down.

But I got a luck. The alliance had no defenders at their tower. Then I had to get a graveyard. But Alliance were turtling and the Horde weren't letting any Aliance Out! Hope was lost.

Then a rogue Capped Frostwolf Graveyard! I sprinted down and capped it! The Achievement was mine!

Some Battlegrounds

First a easy PvP Achivement. Back Door Job. Jumped off airship in Isle of Conquest into enermy base. Won the game too.

 

Then it was off into Wintergrasp for another win. Only need 85 more wins for that achieve.

Then several people in Frostwolves started going to some battlegrounds and I joined for 2 of the battles. Navime, Gutsy, Lushnek (HK), Sevros, Shabadu, Exëcute. Arvash was there too, but he got stuck in a seperate BG alone.

In the first battle, Arathi Basin, I just followed Exëcute as heal as usual. His cap, wait for turnover then run stratergy in full display. Died in the inital assault on Stables, died a second time trying to retake farm, then a third death near the end of the the match while defending Stables. After losing Stables, Exëcute and I stayed at BS. There was no futher drama and we won in the end.

The second battleground was Battle for Gilneas. I followed Exëcute to the waterworks. I highly underestimated Exëcute. There was six alliance and two of us. Exëcute pointed out the object was to prevent them getting the flag. I stayed back and heal him up as Exëcute fought them off. Finally when  Shabadu came to help, the alliance were all dead, Waterworks was taken from the greater numbers. Exëcute showed me his true skill today.

With the rest of the guildies in the BG zerging lighthouse, we had all three flags and won in short time.  I got Newbs to Plowshares and Battle for Gilneas Perfection.

50 Exalted, Giant Rat & More AV

First thing today was some more Alterac Valley for rep. Hit 10k/21k with Frostwolf Clan. Also earned Loyal Defender. Failed to get Alterac Valley All-Star again.

 Then if was off to Dalaran. Today was the Northrend Fishing Contest and I was going to summon either Poldra or Exëcute if they got the [Blacktip Shark]. Sadly neither won, but I did some fishing in the sewers. Then [Giant Sewer Rat] popped up after 82 casts! I Smell A Giant Rat

I then joined a pug doing to Old Mount Hyjal Raid run by Deadugly. After a few bosses I finally finished my The Scales of the Sands reputation. And it was my 50th Exalted!

After the Raid was over I returned to Soridormi at the Caverns of Time to upgrade my [Band of Eternity] to [Band of the Eternal Restorer].

Then I went to Outland to hand in the [Time-Phased Phylactery] I just got from Old Hyjal. After some delivery quests, I joined Maiev Shadowsong and Akama in breaking into Black Temple!

At the end of the assault I was given the [Medallion of Karabor]. McTacky was now 'Attuned' to Black Temple! I have the strangest feeling that I hadn't been intended to be allowed in even though I've killed Illidan Stormrage 5 times now. That old attunement tree was crazy!

Exëcute Vs Tacky Fishing Duel!

Exëcute and I both needed the One That Didn't Get Away so the make it interesting we decided to make a race! First one to win would have the glory and other other would have to stay there fishing until they got the achievement too.

For the first night we fished for two hours no result above a [12 Pound Mud Snapper]. We called it a night a decided to pick up the race tomorrow.

On the second day we reconvened at Stonebull Lake at 3pm and the race was on in earnest! Each man seeking all the glory of catching a fish! After a gruelling Hour  and Half there was a winner. One of us had caught the [15 Pound Mud Snapper]. One of us was triumphant!

I was the one victorious!

Having won that contest I travelled to Dalaran to get my last two gold coins for There's Gold In That There Fountain. 15 minutes later I had both gold coins.

With all this insanely good luck I went straight to Outland for Mr. Pinchy's Magical Crawdad Box.
