Dath'Remar to Saurfang!

"Here Stands the Shrine of Dath'Remar, a fitting tribute to a noble elf. Let all who gaze on this monument remember his sacrifice against the Scourge and his dedication to the cause of our continued survival. All who prosper in Quel'Thalas do so thanks to him."

My guild Frostwolves just moved server from Dath'Remar to Saurfang. I thought we should have a group pic at the Shrine of Dath'Remar before we left.

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 4)

I was off to visit on Dino Island where Azalpha and Luxypie's alt were.

This Luxy alt, LuxyGaga, is actually in my guild Frostwolves. Once there I noticed she is wearing this set. This Orc Shaman looked like a Blood Knight!

She is transmogged into wearing Ironhide Mail set. No Tabard. Helmet & Cloak Off. Dagger is Rusted Gutgore Ripper. I forgot to screenshot the gigantic sheild, Pulsing Spellshield but it can be seen behind her.

Azadelta's Warcrimes

"Do you want some Cloth?" asked Azadelta.
"Sure," I said.
"Come to Wetlands..." said Azadelta.
So McTacky flys to Wetlands. What met his eyes was pure horror.

Both Dragonkin and Dragonmaw Clan alike were slaugtered by Felmagicks. Reinforcement came and came, but stood no chance against the Warlock.

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 3)

Went to visit Azalpha, Exëcute, and Visenya (Moopie's Alt) out the front of Org and noticed another Blood Knight Blood Elf Paladan!, Einhard.

The most obvious difference is the Helmet and Tabard, Einhard is using [Deathspeaker Zealot's Helm] and the [Tabard of the Dragonmaw Clan]. He doesn't have the wrists transmogged so they aren't showing. The [Dark Iron Bracer] are more elbow guards than wristguards.

Ulduar 25!

Ulduar 25 for non Meta Achievements. Non-Meta? That is achievements that do not help get Glory of the Ulduar Raider (25 player). There were guildies there: Navimie, Azadelta, Biship, Faithless, Jinjersnaps, Lushnek (HK), Poldra, Sevros, Roshii and Souglyy (Baha).

Guest Starting: dragonray & Lominari (on newly Horde Toons) with & Koliar from their Guild, The Dark Within. Also Arvash and Saintvache (JD).

Navi and I on heals with Arv tanking.

Sorry if I missed someone. There was a lot of people.

First up Dwarfageddon. Aza did his little circles around on the bike to gather up all the Dwarfs. A couple were killed early but we waiting for the timer to reset before we charged in!

Flame Leviathan time! I was thrown on the top and I took out the Turret for Take Out Those Turrets. I was put in a spot where I had to range attack it as Holy. But that is what Exorcism is for! No one repaired for Flame Leviathan, so we got Unbroken (but my screen shot for it sucks).

The With Open Arms. It was harder than we thought. He ended up crushing everyone in the raid except Arv. On the second attempt all cooldowns and everything was used when attacking his body. Kologarn fell dead. No luck with If Looks Could Kill.

During the Auriaya fight, there was some suggestive imagery on the floor created by the Shadow Voids during the wait to kill the Feral Defender. Eventually we got Nine Lives!

There was a little problem with the Thorim achievement Cheese the Freeze. People not getting on the centre of the mound. We had to wipe each time. Navi denied being famous causing JD to speak up on vent pointing out that Navi was actually famous.

Then I had to get a screen shot with Navi! Don't worry, I asked first!

After several attempts with a few people just remaining dead to avoid being frozen, we achieved both Cheese the Freeze and Getting Cold in Here!

We had three attempts on Hodir to get  Don't Stand in the Lightning. The Dotty Things were back with a vengeance.

The 'dotty things', electric spheres that go to Hodir every 15 seconds to warn that a Lightning Charge is coming. We almost had it the third time, but it was not to be as the last Lightning Charge hit a player.

Then we went onwards for Freya.

Firstly with Lumberjacked we had to wipe because we accidentally pulled the boss while clearing trash. When we came back, Lumberjacked was downed with ease. Deforestation was simple enough. Waited for Freya to summon the mobs we needed to kill then AoEed like madmen (madpeople doesn't sound as cool, sorry).

It was then 11pm and the raid ended and I got some sleep. That is why this post is so late, sorry.

Dead in Well of Eternity

Today I rejoined Navime, Lushnek (HK), and Sevros for some 5-man achievements, along with Gutsy! So into Well of Eternity for Lazy Eye! The plan was simple. I would have to die!

Mission Accomplished!

I was not the only one. Sev and HK would have to join me in death. The aim was to trigger phase 2, have all the DPS die before all the Eye of Peroth'arn come out. That way Navime and Gutsy could sneak around, avoid the Eyes. With only two people alive there was greater chance for the achievement. Then at the start of Phase 3 the two of them would rez everyone back and continue the fight.

In the first fight I couldn't get threat on Peroth'arn in time so I didn't die in time for phase 2. I tried to avoid the eyes but was surrounded! We all died to reset to try again.

On the second attempt Gutsy was standing outside the firewall and died at the start. Navi made it to phase 2 but there wasn't enough heals for phase 3.

On the third, forth and fifth attempts, Sev, HK and Myself all died per plan, but during phase 2 some Priest kept getting detected.

On the sixth attempt Gusty decided to die at the same time as the DPS and Navime would solo Phase 2. And it worked, Navime avoided all the eyes! When Phase 3 began, Gusty used his soul stone, Navime rezed HK, HK Rezed Sev, and I stayed dead.

Keep at it!

Peroth'arn then was blasted apart and Lazy Eye was gained by HK, Gutsy and Myself!

5-mans Cheeses then WG

It was in the wake of my grand fishing contest with Exëcute from my previous post. Exëcute had gone onto bed for slumber. I ventured onward with Navime, Azalpha. Lushnek (HK), and Sevros for some 5 mans for achievements. As Navime was the healer of the team, I was religated to a Deeps psotion and I again was a Retribution Paladin. In short, I wasn't any help and was being carried.

We traveled into an alternative future in End Time. The Achievement attempts did not go so well. Firstly Navi was damaged during Tyrande adds, preventing Moon Guard. Then the other because we didn't get Sylvanas for Severed Ties as the second boss.

We then made our way back in time to the Hour of Twilight! We fought though the instance to the traitor Archbishop Benedictus. Against Archbishop Benedictus I was Healing with Navi for the fight. HK, Sev and Aza demolished the Twilight Sparks with ease! We accomplished Eclipse as the Archbishop fell dead.

Again as Retribution I ventured forth. Deep into Zul'Gurub!

First up Aza pulled Tor-Tun, the giant turtle over to High Priest Venoxis. Most of the floor could not be seen. Forunently HK skinned Tor-Tun so we could see the Green Stuff for It's Not Easy Being Green which we completed. Everyone, even Navi, went DPS against Bloodlord Mandokir so we got Ohganot So Fast!  We then went on to kill Mortaxx for my Gurubashi Headhunter achievement.

High Priestess Kilnara was our next target! We all looted Rats and threw them at Kilnara's cats then murdered them to achieve Here, Kitty Kitty...

Aza then ran ahead without getting healed from the High Priestess Kilnara and ran into a pack of snakes and died horribly.

Aza was then Avenged! Or Resurrected. One of those two. We pressed on and attacked Zanzil. When poison cloud hit only Az and I grabbed the Green Cauldron, the rest of the group died. I died when not getting the Ice Cauldron when the add troll came up. The second attempt far more smoother.

Then for Jin'do the Godbreaker. Only we didn't fight him that much. We fought him to Phase 2, then jumped off the Pyramid and killed lots of Twisted Spirts very fast for Spirit Twister.

We didn't bother going back to kill Jin'do, as I continued my compentary to Aioros to how close my achievement points, was to his and went on to do Wintergrasp!

In Wintergrasp we were on attack, and I was back to being happy in Holy Spec. We were joined by Gutsy, Jinjersnaps, Arashikage, and Souglyy. Our premade group escorted tanks to the walls and in short time we had captured Wintergrasp for the Horde!

Then for the reason for our Wintergrasp assault. Earth, Wind & Fire (10 player). To kill Archavon, Emalon, and Koralon within Sixty Seconds. The Nine of us split into groups and pull the three boss into the centre of the instance. Archavon was assigned to HK and I. Archavon moves faster than you would expect!

Once in the centre we pulverised the three and the achievements was ours!

I never thought I would ever see Earth, Wind & Fire completed yet tonight I did. All in all a very grand day!

Entomology of Tacky

All my alts nowadays have 'Tacky' in their names. This was not always the case.

The Image shows 2005, 2011, 2012.

When I purchased my own copy of the game I created Atain. The alts were names I felt had a similarr theme to attain. Atain himself was not named after the word attain but from the computer game A-Train. All these 2005 toons would end up deleted except Atain.

If I had BC era screenshots, it would show McTacky 70, Atain 70, Taloni 70 (Hunter), MacTacky 70. At the start of BC I changed main from Atain to McTacky. Many people didn't realize I was the same player. I think I lost contact with a lot of people who had me on their friend lists.

This lack of clear identify made me decide any future alt would follow a theme that people would easily notice.

Then I made another thematic misstep by using 'Mc' at the start of the names. Too many random people already had Mc at the start of their names.

I decided to switch to of keeping 'Tacky' in all the names instead. ZuTacky was first. Then I decided to make the names puns!

Hardtacky = Hardtack
TicTacky = Tic Tac (Azalpha came up with that one)
Thumbtacky = Thumbtack
Blutacky = Blu-Tack
Contacky = Contact Adhesive
Heartattacky = Heart Attack
Intacky = Intact

Heartattacky was abandoned after Navimie suggested the more clever:
Tackycardia = Tachycardia (a name now reserved for my monk)

I considered renaming Atain to Atacky, but decided against it in the end for nostalgic reasons.

Having changed servers following the Frostwolves from Khadgar to Dath'Remar, and changing my mains, I really lost contact  a lot with who I was in the past. Nowadays I am not Atain, I am wholeheartedly McTacky!
