McTacky's Budget Blowout

"Lady Liadrin, you summoned me," said Master Blood Knight McTacky, "is this about how I defeated Blackhand?"

"You only accomplished that in LFR, it doesn't count," said Lady Liadrin, Matriarch of the Blood Knight order. McTacky's boss.

"I killed Imperator Mar'gok in Normal..." mumbled McTacky.

"I have been busy laying siege to Shattrath, and you were given command of the Frostwall Garrison," said Liadrin.

"Yes, Lady Liadrin," said McTacky.

"But I have had worrying reports of misuse of garrison funds," said Liadrin, "the garrison generates 5000 gold weekly but none of this money makes it towards the war-effort."

"That is strange," said McTacky.

"I have the Crimson and Azure Whelping you ordered," said the Ethereal Soul-Trader, appearing out of nowhere, handing McTacky two bird cages containing tiny dragons.

"Oh, thanks," said McTacky, carefully.

The Ethereal Soul-Trader then left.

"I must get back to Frostfire Ridge, Lady Liadrin," said McTacky.

"Of course," said Liadrin, "but you won't be heading back to your garrison..."

Camping in the snow for a month as a punishment.

"Great," said McTacky sarcastically as the Frostwolves howled in the distance.

Obligatory New Characters Model Post

First I notice is that the belt buckle and tabard logo are less squashed horizontally. Also the shoulder armour fits a lot better. The boots don't have that bugged brim at the top. Not seen here but Capes work better.

The only problem is that the belt is still too thin to hide all the entire tabard gap.

Obviously the face has more detail and definition. The hair and eyes are far enchaned as well. But there is also geometry differences, the face is more filled in, and with two prominent nasolabial fold clearly seen.

 

Combine the shoulder armour fitting, the filled in face and the nasolabial folds, it overall makes McTacky look like gotten older and more mature.

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 4)

I was off to visit on Dino Island where Azalpha and Luxypie's alt were.

 

This Luxy alt, LuxyGaga, is actually in my guild Frostwolves. Once there I noticed she is wearing this set. This Orc Shaman looked like a Blood Knight!

 

She is transmogged into wearing Ironhide Mail set. No Tabard. Helmet & Cloak Off. Dagger is Rusted Gutgore Ripper. I forgot to screenshot the gigantic sheild, Pulsing Spellshield but it can be seen behind her.

That isn't a Sheild!

That isn't my [Blood Knight Defender] transmog! The [Blood Knight Defender] is the logo at the top of this page! What happened!?

Today [Fan of Fiery Winds] dropped during Raid Finder of Guardians of Mogu'shan. I am trapped, even with the patch 5.2 changes, the off hand item will not be able to be transmogged into a shield.

Lucky I had prepared in advance for just such an emergency. I had a [Book of Highborne Hymns] from Sunwell. While it does feature a lot of Yellow, the Phoenix Wings handle and the Cover of the Book at least thematically link.

Wrong Tabard

So it was Love is in the Air. I don't have the [Big Love Rocket]. So I log into Wow for the first time in months.* I say hello to guildies who hadn't seen me in a while. But something was amiss.

What am I wearing!?

What is that Tabard!? That isn't my [Blood Knight Tabard]! I log in and check. It is the [Huojin Tabard], I hadn't finished off the Huojin Pandaren Faction.

I didn't care about the [Big Love Rocket] anymore. I was determined by the end of the day I would finish off the Huojin Pandaren Faction Rep and get rid of that tabard. So off to Shadow Labyrinth (or Shadow Labs if you are cool)!

So the rep was done. 56th Exalted Rep. I sold that [Huojin Tabard] and was back in my [Blood Knight Tabard]. Also as a bonus buying all the Huojin Mounts gave me the [We're Going to Need More Saddles] achievement.

But that wasn't enough. Not by far. I also noticed on my Rep List that Sho of The Tillers was the only one I wasn't Best Friends with. I couldn't let that stand. So I flew around Valley of the Four Winds gathering gifts for her. Eventually getting [Friends on the Farm]

So the Tiller now were done, right? I'd maxed the friendships and had all the cooking recipies. Yes, but No. I hadn't collected the 50 [Ironpaw Token] for the [Cooking School Bell]. So I decided to do the Daily for the [Ironpaw Token]. But... I may as well do the other dallies at Half Hill that were at the same spot.

Then I saw my Angeler's Rep was half way to Exalted, so there was no harm in doing the fishing quests too...

 

Then I realised it was 3am and I had spent the whole afteroon and night playing World of Warcraft and I had to get up for work in a few hours.

 

It's Raining, why did I have to use a [Rusty Watering Can] again?

 

So I sleep. Work. Get back home and Log back into WoW. Try again for [Big Love Rocket]. Do Dalies for Half Hill and the Anglers. Then I realise I can buy Grand Commendations to make it go faster. So I get the Grand Commendations I can, and dive into doing Dalies for Golden Lotus, Kalaxxi and Order of the Cloud Serpent.

 

So I find myself hooked again to World of Warcraft.

 

* Actually I popped on during Lunar Festival to see if anything was new, but that wasn't for long since there was nothing new.

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 3)

Went to visit Azalpha, Exëcute, and Visenya (Moopie's Alt) out the front of Org and noticed another Blood Knight Blood Elf Paladan!, Einhard.

 

The most obvious difference is the Helmet and Tabard, Einhard is using [Deathspeaker Zealot's Helm] and the [Tabard of the Dragonmaw Clan]. He doesn't have the wrists transmogged so they aren't showing. The [Dark Iron Bracer] are more elbow guards than wristguards.

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 2)

I was healing another battleground and came across a Tauren Protection Paladin looking a lot like a Blood Knight!

Jzen the Patient and I were on the way north to Van when we were ambushed to death. Then Drek died and we lost. Oh well, made it to 7000/21000 rep! One Third of the way!

Transmog differences are: Belt = [Vicious Pyrium Belt], Helm = [Dark Iron Helm], Mace = [Fel Iron Hammer].

Jzen hasn't the [Blood Knight Tabard], unobtainable though normal methods on a Tauren, however had [Blood Knight Defender] so it still counts!

Just before that AV, I earnt All Over the Isle

Blood Knight in the Wild (Part 1)

Was healing a battleground and came across a Blood Death Knight looking a lot like a Blood Knight!

Vodogon was about to tanking Van in AV, but Alliance beat us to the kill. Good news however was that I still reached Revered with Frostwolf Clan.  Just 21000 rep to go!

His transmog was almost mine except shoulders = [Acherus Knight's Pauldrons].
